A Country Moving
Forward

Although the war finished over 10 years ago, the country is still struggling to gain power again.  Most prime working age adults are only trained to kill and destroy, and only the youth are fighting for education; this has created a country with many problems.  It’s hard to know where to begin to build them back up.

It will be a long road to recovery for Liberia, beginning in the schools. To enable the country to thrive economically requires electricity and basic infrastructure. Infrastructure can only be built by skilled workers. Skilled workers are created through education and training.

At Open To Learn we started at the bottom and after 5 years we are can already see the development and optimism of the children we have empowered.
