The Future

Over the past few years the development of the school has been a great success and has had such a positive impact on the local community.  Therefore, at Open To Learn, we want to continue this progress by making an even bigger impact and by growing the school, developing the facilities and the quality of education we offer..

What do we want and how will we achieve this?

Infrastructure

At present the School is operating with limited equipment available to students.  Books supplies are low, there is no electricity supply linked to the school and there are no computers for children or teachers.

The library is in desperate need of more books and we urgently need to install a power generator.  This will enable us to install computers, which can then be connected to the Internet.  The Internet access will not only advance learning for the children but will allow staff to communicate more efficiently with sponsors.

Expand the School

Since the opening in 2009 the school has grown from 4 classrooms to 7.   We want to continue this growth by adding a further 7 classrooms, this will allow the school to continue to teach the oldest year group into higher education level every year.  Giving the children a chance to further their education and specific vocations, giving them a greater chance of success.
